HOUSE

House, a house
A bond of dependence,
One treasure of a common man’s life
A museum of memories
The courtyard of a mother’s dreams
A shelter above the baby’s head
The hope of a father
A curiosity of mine
The office for worship,
The temple for the lord
A market of arguments, though easily sought
A library of friends,
The dining table of pleasure.
It may be built of wood & brick
And layered with cement on top
But when it is destructed only the brick and cement die out,
But the memories, love, dreams it weaved are truly eminent.
So if you think it is ugly to live in a flat
Remember you will have memories, and your dreams
That will take you on the path of success
After all, your house is and will be your shelter in times of joy or need.
